Parking & Transportation
Parking:
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's award-winning real-time parking website, ParkPGH, shows you exactly how many spaces are available in garages throughout the Cultural District and beyond – check it before you leave the house or have a passenger monitor it on the go! 5,000 parking spots are in the Cultural District alone, plus thousands more nearby. Don't forget about options on the North Shore, which is a short and beautiful walk over the Allegheny River away.
Public Transportation:
Port Authority of Allegheny County provides public transportation services throughout the greater Pittsburgh area by bus, light rail (T), incline, and paratransit for approximately 215,000 riders daily. All route and fare information is available at PortAuthority.org Note that downtown “Golden Triangle” bus fares are free until 7 pm daily and the T system between downtown and the North Shore is free at all times.
Biking:
Penn Avenue features a two-way bike lane, providing safe and convenient transit through the Cultural District. Considering abundant bike parking options (including Public Art Bike Racks) nearby, it’s easier than ever to take part in Car Free Friday with the Trust, Port Authority, and BikePGH.
