The Village

curated by Jacquea Mae in coordination with the YMCA Lighthouse Project

Lead Image

The Ancestors say "it takes a village to raise a child." During the Gallery Crawl, you can visit The Village in the Peirce Studio of the Trust Arts Education Center. Curated by Jacquea Mae in coordination with The Lighthouse Project, The Village invites Black and Brown youth to express themselves creatively. It is a space where expression has no bounds and young artists have freedom to explore.

The lineup of performers comes from all around Pittsburgh, honoring unity within the city. Youth performers and artists will be highlighted on stage, through visual art, and with literature presentations, thanks to gracious collaboration with the YMCA Lighthouse Project.

Performances include:
5:30-6 pm: Byron Nash & Jacquea Mae
6:30-7 pm: Yusef Shelton
7:30-8 pm: Nairobi
8:30-9 pm: Livefromthecity|
9:30-10 pm: SUPA’ NxC

Plus, sets between performances by:
DJ Ghost
DJ Jersey J
DJ Prince Jay
