Pittsburgh Paints is a passion project of Pittsburgh’s First Lady, Michelle Gainey. The ongoing program showcases Pittsburgh’s robust art scene by soliciting and exhibiting art pieces in Mayor Gainey’s office suite at the City County Building. Mrs. Gainey has chosen both personally important themes and national celebratory tentpole months to align with the artists that will be highlighted throughout the program.

The First Lady is directly involved in soliciting the artists through partnerships with local organizations and community outreach. The program started in February 2022, honoring Black History Month, and will continue for at least a year culminating in a two-day artist summit.
The pop-up will also feature works from artists from local organizations, including BLAQK House Collections, Pittsburgh Public Schools, and Radiant Hall Studios.
